| Biography |
Dr Tess Morris-Paterson is motivated by understanding what it takes for human bodies to be ready for the extreme working environments of space. By developing programmes that help governments and space programmes select and prepare astronauts, Tess is able to constantly deepen our knowledge of human health and how we learn, adapt and exist for life in space. Through this work she has been able to found leading space and health technology companies - Astro Perform and Astro Health. Her work spans human spaceflight research, mission operations, and applied performance science, with experience at NASA Ames, the European Space Agency Mission Operations Academy, and the British Army Officer Selection Board, where she serves as a Captain and Group Leader. Much of her recent work has been centred around researching into translating human performance and sensing research into deployable technologies for space. |
